Crucified to the world
- The cross changes what you want, not just where you go on Sunday.
- A church that loses the cross keeps the building and loses the power.

God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul could have gloried in his pedigree. Hebrew of the Hebrews. A Pharisee. Educated at the feet of Gamaliel.
But he says all of that is loss. The only thing left standing worth boasting about is an instrument of execution that God turned into a place of mercy.
Everybody is somebody at the foot of the cross. Nobody comes to it standing up.
